Inverter Duty Transformers for Solar Energy
Since 2011, Shilchar Technologies Ltd. has designed and manufactured inverter duty transformers (IDTs) for solar applications. As of December 2025, we have supplied transformers totalling 20 GW capacity worldwide. Pioneered the supply of 3-winding IDTs in India; later developed advanced 4-winding and 5-winding versions.
- Employ both aluminium and copper foil winding technologies.
- Highest type-tested rating: 17.3 MVA for 5-winding IDT.
