Founded in 1990, Shilchar Technologies Limited is among India’s leading manufacturers of Electronics & Telecom as well as Power & Distribution transformers.

Our journey began with the production of high-quality R-core transformers, followed by the introduction of ferrite transformers in 1995 to meet strong market demand. Between 2004 and 2007, we expanded into distribution and power transformers, strengthening our portfolio to serve a wide range of industrial sectors — from utilities and renewable energy to retail customers worldwide.

In April 2020, we commissioned a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with the capability to produce transformers up to 50 MVA and 132 KV class, and an annual manufacturing capacity of 7,500 MVA.

Power Transformers

World-class Manufacturer of Transformers

Since 2007, Shilchar Technologies Ltd. has been manufacturing power transformers, initially with a capacity of up to 25 MVA and 66 KV class. With the commissioning of a state-of-the-art facility in April 2020, our capabilities have grown significantly. Today, we produce transformers up to 50 MVA and 132 KV class, with an annual manufacturing capacity of 7,500 MVA. We are constructing another 120,000 sq.ft of production facility to add 6,500 MVA by April 2027 to cater to power transformers up to 160 MVA, 220 KV class.

Our expertise is reflected in landmark projects, including the successful export of a 5 MVA, 150 KV class transformer to Indonesia in 2018, and the completion of a short-circuit test on a 15 MVA, 66 KV class transformer, underscoring our commitment to quality, reliability, and international standards.

Since 2004, Shilchar Technologies Ltd. has been a prominent manufacturer of distribution transformers, boasting an annual production capacity of 7,500 MVA.

Our diverse product range includes:

  • 3 phase, oil cooled transformers up to 5 MVA, 33 KV Class
  • 1 phase, oil cooled transformers up to 100 KVA, 11 KV Class
  • 3 phase, dry type (VPI Technology) transformers up to 1000 KVA, 11 KV Class

Our transformers undergo multiple rigorous quality checks at every stage of production, from raw material selection through assembly to final testing, conducted in our NABL-accredited laboratories equipped with impulse generators up to 900 KVp and high-voltage testers.

This stringent quality control ensures all products meet both BIS certification requirements and IS:1180 standards for level 3 transformers, which we have successfully tested up to 2,500 KVA, 11 KV class.
